Empire State Building
In NYC, it’s pretty hard to miss the Empire State Building in Midtown! This iconic 102-story skyscraper was built in 1931 and has incredible skyline views of the city! ESB has been part of many famous movies including Sleepless in Seattle, Elf and King Kong. Honestly, you can’t resist pressing all of elevator buttons like what Buddy The Elf did!
Central Park
Central Park is truly an amazing Uptown stop to explore! If you have children with you, there’s so much to do! You can go to the Central Park Zoo, take a boat ride and visit Wollman Rink. Depending on the season, Wollman Rink offers different things to do from a carnival in the summer to an ice rink during the winter. You can also take a selfie with one of Central Park’s many statues like Alice in Wonderland and Balto!
Tip: If you want great views of the city, climb up to Belvedere Castle!
Times Square
Of course you can’t visit NYC without being in the heart of Times Square! The billboards, stores, restaurants, street performers and NYC tour buses! There’s so much! Times Square truly represents the hustle and bustle of the city. If you just want to just take in the atmosphere of Times Square, sit on the red steps of TKTS (47th and Broadway)! Also if you get up really early, you can catch a celebrity at Good Morning America!
One World Observatory
This is one beautiful spot you will not want to miss! This is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and not only has great views of NYC but New Jersey as well! The best part of visiting the One World Observatory is the elevator ride. You get transported to before NYC became what it is today and see its transformation over the years until you get to the Freedom Tower. It’s truly an amazing experience.
Rockefeller Center
There is always something to do at Rockefeller Center! This spot is mainly known for its famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree every holiday season. You have many places to eat and shop at such as the LEGO store! Want to learn more about Rockefeller Center and its history? Why not take a walking tour! Nearby, you can also get great views of the city at Top of the Rock!
Flatiron Building
The Flatiron Building is unlike any other in NYC! Built in 1902, this building is known for its unique triangular shape which looks similar to a cast-iron clothes iron; Hence the name, “Flatiron”. Currently, the building is home to offices and an art exhibit in the front free to the public. There are so many great opportunities for a photo-op of this building including on a Downtown Bus Tour! The area around the building is vibrant with food, shopping and Madison Square Park!
Radio City Music Hall
Radio City Music Hall is home to the famous Rockettes! If you happen to be in the city when the Christmas Spectacular or the New York Spectacular are playing, you must see it! The Rockettes kick line is unlike anything seen anywhere else! This hall also holds concerts, movie premieres and other fantastic events.
