Central Park is a must visit Uptown Tour Stop while in NYC! Whether you are walking or taking a bike ride through the park, there is so much to enjoy! With it being so large, we have narrowed down for you the best Central Park spots to visit! 

 

Central Park Zoo

You can’t go to Central Park without visiting the Central Park Zoo! It’s a great way to spend time with your family while seeing some amazing animals. You can watch the Sea Lions swim around and interact with animals at the Tisch Children’s Zoo. 

Statues

Balto Statue in the South End of Central Park

There are an endless amount of statues to see while in Central Park. For any first time visitor, you must visit Alice in Wonderland and Balto! These statues are not only beautiful but children greatly enjoy seeing them. Who doesn’t want to see Alice, The Mad Hatter and The White Rabbit!  

Bethesda Fountain

This fountain is something to see right at the end of The Mall! The Bethesda Fountain is one of the most famous spots in Central Park. It has been featured in multiple movies including Enchanted, 27 Dresses and The Avengers

There are an endless amount of lawns to lay on and gardens to stroll through in Central Park. The most well-known lawn is the Great Lawn which definitely great being 55 acres! Another lawn just as great is Sheep Meadow with beautiful views of the NYC Skyline! In all of Central Park, the best garden has to be the Shakespeare Garden named after the famed poet and playwright. You can stroll and sit in the garden reading quotes from William Shakespeare’s famous works.  

Loeb Boathouse

Want to take a row boat or gondola ride in Central Park? Then visit the Loeb Boathouse! You can not only rent boats but enjoy a wonderful meal on the water! This is a must for first time visitors to the park! 

Belvedere Castle

Belvedere Castle in Mid-Park

If you want fantastic views of not only Central Park but the NYC skyline, climb up to Belvedere Castle! This miniature castle is the highest point in the park. This spot makes for a great selfie shot!  

Wollman Rink

Victoria Gardens Amusement Park in Wollman Rink

All year round, there’s always something to do at Wollman Rink with your family! In the winter, you can ice skate on the Wollman Rink and enjoy the holiday season. In the summer, Wollman Rink is occupied by the Victorian Gardens Amusement Park.
