Sightseeing NYC By Cruise

Since I was a child, I have always wanted to visit New York. Finally, that dream came true! Not having known much about the city and how to get to all the attractions and landmarks, I’ve decided to take some group NYC sightseeing tours. One of them was the Hop-On, Hop-Off NYC Cruise organized by Gray Line CitySightseeing New York. The tour was simply great! With a wonderful view of the New York skyline and very knowledgeable guides who shared many interesting facts, I enjoyed every minute of the cruise! And, the most important for me, I could finally take an up-close look at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island!

While on the cruise, you can hop-off at four different stops and the ferry comes to each stop every 2 hours. My first stop was the World Financial Center. I visited the Freedom Tower, 9/11 Memorial and 9/11 Tribute Center (you get a discount for that with your cruise ticket). I have to say that it was a very emotional visit that I will always remember.

The next stop was Brooklyn. I couldn’t miss the chance spend some time just staring at the beautiful bridge! And the Brooklyn Bridge Park itself was really nice too, even in winter time. Later, after grabbing some pizza at the famous Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, I hopped back on the cruise and just let it sail me through the rest of the trip. When it was over, the double-decker bus drove all the passengers back to Times Square.

Taking a Hop-On, Hop-Off cruise is a great way to experience New York whether you are travelling alone or with company. My Final Note: make sure not to miss the last 4pm cruise departure at Pier 78!
