Hop-On Hop-Off Cruise Things To Do: World Financial District

Spring is finally here! It’s the perfect time to take a Hop-On, Hop-Off Cruise! It gives you a great opportunity to see the city from the waters of the Hudson River and enjoy breathtaking views of Manhattan skyline.

The tour offers four great locations to hop-off at! One of them is the World Financial District, one of the places every tourist coming to New York City has to visit at least once! Here are a few things to see and do in on this stop!

One World Observatory

The One World Observatory is a must-see if you are in the financial district! Visiting the observation deck was much more than just seeing the city from the top. It all started with a great ride on one of the fastest elevators. Less than 60 seconds and we were on the 102nd floor! 360-degree views through floor-to-ceiling windows were stunning and unforgettable!

Looking down on the Statue of Liberty made me realize how high it really was! Besides that, availability of different exhibits made the visit informative and entertaining.

Tip: Go before sunset – watching it from the observatory is amazing, plus you can see the city both during the day and nighttime!

9/11 Memorial

The 9/11 Memorial is a beautiful memorial to visit when in the Financial District. Remember and honor those who lost their lives on 9/11 and the 1993 attacks. The two reflecting pools represent where the Twin Towers used to stand. You can also see the “Survivor Tree” which a Callery pear tree that was pulled out of the rumble and replanted in 2010.

Brookfield Place

Brookfield Place is a great place for families to explore! There are so many things to do from its great food to its unique events. For example, on May 7th and 8th, The American’s Cup World Series is happening on the Waterfront Plaza. It is also a great place to shop in NYC!

9/11 Tribute Center

If you want to remember and learn more about 9/11, visit the 9/11 Tribute Center. They have great exhibits to see including The Attacks, Recovery and Those Lost. You can also take a tour through the tribute center which highlights unforgettable stories and how the event impacted the world.

These are just some of the many things you can do in the World Financial District! No better way to get there than by a New York City Cruise Tour
