The sensation took a little getting used to but you soon learn to put your trust in the engineering, especially when you consider the iconic skyline of remarkable construction projects. You soon come to the conclusion that this is the kind of thing that New York does so well.
The ride to the One World Observatory is just as special as the experience at the top. You’ll travel up in the Sky Pod Elevator. It might be as close to being ‘beamed up’ Star Trek style as you’ll ever get. The lift travels rather quickly, making it to the top in less than 60 seconds, so it’s a real rush. However, what’s even more impressive is that as you travel, you’ll be able to watch floor to ceiling LED technology that shows the evolution of New York City. It’s outstanding and so memorable.
